Your Stay at the castle of Préty

To have a pleasant stay in Burgundy, you need to rent a holiday  cottage of character. In France, they are listed under "Gîtes de France", "Gîtes de Bourgogne" or "Gîtes Piscine". Among the many choices available, few places offer as much charm and interest as does the castle at Préty, rich of a long history.
The castles in southern Burgundy strike the fantasy. With a landscape and climate that remind of Tuscany, staying at Préty's castle makes you feel at once in another time and space. The castle is privately enclosed in a large park with grand old trees and a breathtaking view over the Saône valley.

Comfortable country manors were often built in the 19th century in the place of an ancient castle, to make social and cultural life more pleasant. Situated in the most beautiful spots in the surroundings, they were a dream come true. The huge houses are mostly only used today as secondary residences for summer holidays.

The gîtes and chambres d'hôtes, french for bed-and-breakfast, at the castle of Préty are comfortably furnished, in a subtle and tasteful style matching the grandeur of the château. Although it might seem out of place and time, a swimming-pool was specially designed to respect the unique environment while adding in pleasure.

Arriving at your gîte after a long journey, a nice bottle of wine welcomes you! If you don't want to go back out to do the shopping, you will find, in the nearby town of Tournus, several excellent restaurants, where we can make reservations  for you. But most of the time, the guests prefer to stay on the château's grounds, dining on the lovely terrace and listening late in the night to the gentle sound of the fountain, the crickets, or just enjoy the peacefulness of the place.
